Not all damage is the same. Compare your photos to these in order to get a general idea of what to expect!
This carte de visite from 1861 had some minor spots and fading which was easily fixed. The cost to restore this would be about $6 USD.

This photo from c. 1880 on postcard had tons of age spots and the bottom right corner missing. This damage would cost about $8 to repair.
This photo from 1892 had many chips where the picture was flaking away, along with extensive corner damage. Luckily the edge damage didn't interfere with the picture's accuracy. This would cost about $12 to repair.

This photo from c. 1880 had a few age spots and a minor corner damage. This would cost about $7 to restore.
This photo from c. 1939 had endured extensive water damage, had some slices and the bottom, and had also been torn at the top. This would cost about $10 to restore.

This painting from c. 1907 had some minor cracks on the left hand side. This simple repair would cost about $5.
This tintype from c. 1865 had several spots, flaking, and breaks. Although the bottom couldn't be fully restored without compromising the historical accuracy, the damage was able to be minimized. This would cost about $7 to restore as seen.

This large picture portrait from 1927 had many white spots where the picture had flaked away. The white spot under the nose was from the original photo, but was able to be removed. The flaking restoration would cost about $9, and the white spot removal would cost about $8.
This photo from 1887 had a few spots, but some major tears and slices which were more difficult to fix. This would cost about $8 to repair.
